I was fortunate to get hired via a referral from a great friend to update the imagery for a local pharmacy here in San Diego. I had a lot of fun with this shoot because the employees love their jobs and were just genuine and happy people. I had a few people who struggle with having their photo taken, but there is never a corporate headshot session that goes by without at least one person shying away from the camera. But of course I still nailed an awesome shot for them and they were blown away that, yes, it was possible that they could actually take a good photo. It is amazing what happens when people hire a professional 🙂
The objective for this shoot was to come in and update their company marketing materials with fresh and relevant content unique to their store. They have such a huge footprint in the community with loyal customers that they felt their clients deserved better then stereotypical stock imagery. They wanted their marketing material to express their pharmacy’s unique factors like their blue prescription bottles, support for the LGBT community and friendly staff. I am proud to say that we got some awesome headshots and stock imagery from there. But it wasn’t without its challenges. Arriving at 7:30am with my assistant/student and having capture these images all while their 15 person staff was working and servicing clients. That was tough and a little chaotic, but I feel we nailed it at the end of the day.
