I had the opportunity to photograph a very rare occurrence here in San Diego. It is not often that Royalty from the Middle East makes it way into San Diego. I had the pleasure of photographing a wonderful Gala for an organization called Roads to Success that provides aid to Syrian refugees seeking asylum in Jordan. They raised over $500,000 in funding and supplies to take over to the refugee camps.
This event was packed with some of the most charitable personalities in San Diego and I was lucky enough to make friends and get great photos of them with the Prince and Mayor Filner. The event was held at the Hilton Del Mar located across from the Del Mar racetracks. It was a smaller hotel, but for only having two months to plan, organize and host this event I was sincerely impressed with what the organization was able to pull off. Things were a little crazy, but you can tell that people really enjoyed the event and had a good time.

I had to do it. It is not often that a Prince from another country is in San Diego. I had to ask for a photo, especially because he was such a cool guy.
